Never Follow Their Footsteps
I stumbled upon what appears to be a lost letter in the depths of the forest during my hike. It seems to be the second page, and I'm not sure how many more are out there, but from the tone, it might be the last from this person. The journey continues, but I'll need to return with a larger team and better equipment later on. Curiosity piqued, I can't wait to see what else can be discovered in this wilderness...
LOST PAGES

Dear whoever discovers this letter,
I'm uncertain how long it's been since I last wrote. Time is irrelevant in this place. I've been wandering through the forest for what seems like an eternity, but I can't find my way out.
The creature still haunts me. Its presence lingers, always just beyond the trees. Its breaths and footsteps echo around me. Sometimes, I catch a glimpse of it, and I have to resist the urge to scream. It's otherworldly, beyond comprehension.
I'm exhausted, hungry, and frightened. Surviving on berries and rainwater, I'm not sure how much longer I can last. The creature's face haunts me whenever I close my eyes, twisted in a horrifying snarl.
I've concluded that this forest is cursed, and the creature is just one manifestation of its evil. There are other unexplainable things here, too. Symbols etched into the trees, whispers carried by the wind, and the darkness that consumes me.
I don't know why I'm writing this letter. Perhaps to leave a record of what occurred here, to hold onto my sanity, or to warn whoever finds this to stay away.
Regardless of the reason, this is likely the final thing I'll write. The creature is closing in, and I can't keep running. If you come across this letter, please, remember me and what happened here. And if you hear whispers or feel the darkness enveloping you, run. Run as fast and far as you can.
Sincerely,
Emily
